Can you guys help me fulfill this nerdy childhood dream? I know this is kind of a weird thread to post on this subreddit, but this is the biggest and nerdiest English speaking soccer forum I know of... full of a lot of soccer nerds, and I have seen a lot of posts on here about people enjoying other soccer themed TV shows like El Matador, 21 Thunder, Club de Cuervos, ect and even films. So I am just fishing to see if SOMEONE out there knows anything that I can't find out. I have tried googling and everything but not much information.
Can anyone find where I can watch, or even PURCHASE this anime called Captain Tsubasa with an english dub? I discovered it 20 years ago flipping through channels on my dad's hacked satellite so he could watch Iranian TV channels and European soccer on channels like Setanta Sports, and then I saw it, a Dragon Ball Z style animated TV show which instantly grabbed my attention, but with soccer players and I fell in love. I had very little idea what the characters were saying because it was dubbed in Persian, and I am not a fluent speaker. But as a kid it mesmerized me, and I was so jealous that Iranian kids got to watch this show everyday, and American kids did not... it seems so cool to watch a TV show where the main characters start out playing for their middle/high school soccer team, and then keeps moving up and up to play in Europe for all kinds of real life big famous clubs, and even his national team, Japan.

This was a massive show that inspired people all over the world. It is a huge pop culture thing, so I am so surprised I can't find it in english, when it is in over 100 other languages, and even the video games have been translated into so many languages. This anime also went on to motivate and inspire many current professional soccer players to start playing soccer all over the world.

Captain Tsubasa English Dubbed
Over the years I have checked back now and then on it, but didn't find a dub yet, so I keep waiting. More recently hackers have translated a lot of the NES, and SNES Captain Tsubasa video game RPGs, and now there is even an iPhone game, and now it made me really want to finally watch the TV series. I can't believe I can't find it in english anywhere in 2018. :[
According to Wikipedia, 'English dubs of all series have aired on Animax Asia and some episodes of the English dub were released on VCDs by Speedy Video Malaysia.' It was broadcasted all over the World, Asia, Middle East, Latin America, and Europe... any help? Thank you guys so much! And again, sorry if this is an inappropriate thread to post, but I am a little desperate, because I really want to get this nostalgia fix.
