Ultraman – Towards the Future is a 2D fighting game released back in 1991 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The game is based on a Japanese TV Show of the same name. In this game, a giant monster or alien will seek the city’s destruction. For Ultraman on the PlayStation 2, GameFAQs has 2 save games.
Ultraman Nexus (ウルトラマンネクサスUrutoraman Nekusasu) is a PlayStation 2 video game based on the Ultraman Nexus TV series. It was published by Bandai and released in Japan on May 26, 2005. The game also includes characters two characters from the 2004 movie ULTRAMAN.

Gameplay[edit]
Two basic characters will be given in the start of the game (Nexus modes Junis and Junis Blue) in Versus mode. The other characters must be unlocked via Nexus mode. But some characters, (Noa, the One and Next) will be unlocked if you complete special tasks. In Nexus mode, you will appear in Anphans mode, until you battle the monster to a certain state, then you will evolve, becoming either Junis or Junis Blue (depending on the Dunamist you pick). If you die, you will become a Night Raider and travel through a forest to shoot at the monster until you can transform. In every 2 or 3 stages, you will face off against a boss (Dark Faust, Dark Mephisto or Dark Zagi). If you lose, the boss will revive one of the monster and you will have to shoot at it until you can transform again and destroy the monster. To unlock some monsters, you must die and fight the monster as a Night Raider.

- Nexus Mode: Players can play as one of the two dunamists available in the game.
- Night Raider Mode: Players can play as Kazuki Komon in 3 different training programs. A special mission is also available in which players kill Space Beasts to collect data.
- Versus Mode: Players can play against another player or the CPU.
- Battle Mode: Players can choose a playable character and fight several opponents.
- Tag Battle Mode: Two players can choose playable characters and team up to defeat opponents.

Since Ultraman's poised to return to the U.S. in an all-new show, this game features a monster gang that's totally different from the Japanese version of the game.
Buffed Boxing
Uttraman's good-looking, straightahead beat-em-up fare that's short on maneuvering but long on combat. You basically just try to get into a creature's face and slug it out, but it ain't easy!
In this adventure, Uitraman's ancient enemy, Gudis, a gigantic virus has infected the Earth. This germ drives any creature over 100 feet tall wacko, and Ultraman must take on nine vile creatures. Now the 'Man is a true heavyweight, emphasis on the 'heavy'. He stands 197 feet tall and weighs in at a massive 58,000 tons, but his foes are bigger still! Geoige Foreman, sit down! However, Ultraman only has three lives, and he can only maintain power for three minutes per life.
Yucky lckies
Ultraman's opposition is ultra bizarre.. from their names to their looks. For example, Gudis looks like a slimey stuffed bell pepper. Bogun has a head at each end of its slug-like body. Degola looks like Bigfoot on steroids. Barrangas, Gudis II, Zebokan, Majaba, Kodalar, and Kilazee won't win any beauty contests either, but they look really good -- for monsters.The Bigger They Are..
Brighton purses and wallets. Be prepared for some fancy finger moves. The gameplay is good, but you end up punching every button on the SNES controller. Ultraman has 10 offensive and defensive Ultra moves including the Ultra Spin Kick and the ultra-slick Ultra Back Flip. When he gets close enough to grab a fist-full of monster, he can make an Ultra Throw.
ProTip: Practice quickly activating the Ultra Shield (press Up and then hit V). It's critical versus some monsters.
These techniques are great for softening up the opposition, but the keys to beating the beasts are four special weapons, the Knuckle Shooter, the Arrow Beam, the Magnum Shooter, and particularly the Burning Plasma. In every fight you must first wear down your monstrous opponent, then you quickly select Burning Plasma and blast the thing before its power recharges. Learning what tactics work against what beasts is what Ultraman is all about.
- Bet as close as you can when you Fire Burning Plasma (L-4). It loses potency If you're far away.
- Barrangas continually advances on Up and wait for him to approach, that way you can easily press Y to bring up the Shield and then immediately hit A for an Ultra Spin Kick or B for the Ultra Upper Cut.

Ultraman's simple fun, but it isn't simple- minded. All the Ultra moves look cool, and you must learn to use them all to beat the beasts. In Expert mode the game will eat your lunch. Players who dig Japanese latex monsters will freak over the sharp graphics. The sounds are just right, from the heroic Ultraman music to the monstrous screams. Ultraman is ultra cool.
