Google Apps Script is a powerful tool to help simply your work. From auto-grading quizzes to mail merge to emailing form responses, Google Apps Scripts free can you up to focus on other things. In the Simply Scripts session, participants will see several demonstrations of scripts that can save them much time and help them to be more productive. Participants will also have the opportunity to test their skill by creating a form that can be used as a contact form on a website or as a “check for understanding” for students. As time permits, we’ll take a more in-depth look at a very simple script and see how it can be expanded to make a very powerful email response tool. While many of the scripts demonstrated do not require any scripting experience and are freely available via the Script Gallery, a basic understanding of simple HTML code will make the “in-depth” look more profitable.I have been a Google Apps user since 2008. I have been serving as Technology Director at Faith Academy, Manila, Philippines since 2006 and Google Apps Administrator since 2009 when our school migrated from Microsoft Exchange to Google Apps for EDU. I have done extensive in-house training at Faith on all things Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive/Docs, Sites, and Searching. In August 2013, I will be launching my technology consulting company called Bytes of Faith Consulting Ministry. While I have not presented anything in a formal setting, my desire is to begin doing so. This summer, I hope to submit my application to become a Google Apps for EDU Certified Trainer.
